GANTZ, a popular manga, has been filming a live action for quite a while, and it will be released in 2011. Kazunari Ninomiya, of Arashi, and Kenichi Matsuyama, better known as L, both star in the film as Kei Kurono and Masaru Kato respectively. The basis of the story is “Two young men die on the tracks of a subway station only to be summoned back to life by a mysterious black sphere known as “Gantz.” More »

It looks like the vampire movie craze has finally infected Japan. Higanjima, the latest film from director Kim Tae Kyun, has Japan, and Hollywood, buzzing with interest.

Based on the best-selling manga by Koji Matsumoto, Kyun brings vampiric monsters to life on a remote island set far out in a dangerous sea.
