From Wirebot: Who would have thought, but Nintendo characters have been giving us great “exit lines” for years! In the game context they might not seem to fit the situation, but if you just want to get out of there and don’t necessarily mind hurting the person’s feelings, try out one of these classic lines: More »

Welcome to Plusle and Minun Reviews. You may be asking yourself why I chose these two as the face of my reviews, allow me to elaborate. Plusle (left) and Minun (right) hail from the world Pokemon and bear a striking resemblance to the license’s well known face: Pikachu. The obvious difference of course is that one has a positive appearance and the other a negative one.
By now, you’re probably scratching your head wondering, while that’s all nice and good, what does that have to do with a review? Simple. As opposed to most reviews you will find on video games, Plusle and Minun reviews are short but sweet, positives and negatives of a specific game with an overall letter grade. Rather than read pages of text, most people just want to know is it a good game? What’s good about it? And what’s not so good? Plusle and Minun Reviews is just that - a quick and easy list of the good as well as the bad. Additionally, there will always be a trailer at the end for all of you to check out because I know how much you all love trailers. With all that said and done, enjoy.

We are coming close to 2010, which is promising to be a “Golden” year for gaming, with new technologies (example. Microsoft Natal) and innovations making their way to release. I’ve always considered myself a bit of pessimist, so forgive me if I sit over here on the other side of my computer fake sneezing and screaming “bull$h17!” at the top of my lungs. More »

This week Nintendo releases the next chapter in The Legend of Zelda series (Spirit Tracks). On his neverending quest to save the princess, Link has made use of many forms of transportation including but not limited to: a horse, a magical talking boat, a flying chicken, a hookshot, a magical mask and now with the newest release, a cute little train. None of the above can hang with these vehicles. More »
This console generation, home to high definition gaming and wii-mote waggling, genres like shooters have seen an explosion of interest with games like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Gears of War, Resistance: Fall of Man, Killzone 2, Halo 3, and much more. While that’s all well and good for shooter fans, there are some gamers that have been all but left in the cold. Let’s face it, not everyone enjoys shooting things in the face. What about RPG (that’s role playing games for the uninitiated) enthusiasts? This generation, there has been very little in the way of RPG’s and while the future release of Final Fantasy XIII may help change that much like its predecessor VII did for the Playstation, it still doesn’t change the fact that there is a major RPG drought at the moment. What’s a gamer to do? Enter the Nintendo DS. More »

Although Alexa already mentioned this new piece of hardware, I again wanted to draw attention to something that is both a blessing and a curse to the world of gaming. 1up.com has posted a gallery of them comparing the new Nintendo DSi XL to other portable devices. More »

Most gamers, even casual(the horror!), know titles such as Super Mario Brothers 3, Metal Gear Solid, and Final Fantasy 7. But do they know where they came from? who made them? why did they make them? These questions will run through your head the first time you turn into a blubbering mess witnessing Aerith’s death or when you find the first warp whistle through the secret door in the first castle. In honor of Rekuru, and to gain more insight into what goes on behind the scenes, I will present to you the top three Japanese game developers of our generation. More »
The Nintendo DS is proving to be THE platform this generation for RPG’s and today, popular Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu, only reinforced that fact with the announcement of Estopolis (the Japanese name for Lufia). Yes RPG aficionados, more RPG goodness is on the way. The Square Enix developed remake of Lufia II, originally released on the Super Nintendo, will feature not only 3D visuals but full voice-over and a complete combat overhaul. More »
