From Ningin: Manga is a word literally meaning “whimsical pictures.” The first mangas were drawn during the 12th century on scrolls, usually depicting humorous antics or ordinary every day life. However people today argue as to what was the first era of manga and debate between centuries. More »

From Ningin: What exactly is a Pikatron? Is it a guitar? Nope. Is it a weapon? Negative. Is it a new video game controller? Naw. It’s a noise synthesizer and I want one! More »

From Ningin: Isn’t this just an amazing collection? I would have died of happiness if I had this many Pokemon items as a child. And this person isn’t just any ordinary collector. She now holds a Guinness World Record for the biggest Pokemon collection in the world. More »

It’s that time again bento boxers. This week saw the kickoff of two Rekuru specials, the Akira Kurosawa Tribute Month as well as our New Year’s Resolution Week so if you haven’t checked them out, do so. That’s it for this week, see you next Sunday. XOXO More »

Below, I’ve compiled a list of ten games that stood above the rest. If you haven’t played these titles, it’s time to start spending that christmas money from grandma. More »

Comic cons, anime festivals, and the like have run their course this year. With 2009 almost at an end, I thought it would be fun to look back at some of the best cosplay of the year. And while the many festivals and conventions have come and gone, 2010 is around the corner with more cosplay goodness waiting to be had. More »

From Ningin: I absolutely love to read. I read everywhere I go- when I’m riding the bus, when I’m in class (though I’m not suppose to), when I’m cooking (which sometimes leads to disastrous results), when I’m fantasizing about kissing Daniel Henney under the stars- just name a place and I’ll read there. Do you know what kind of book I like to read the most? Manga of course! Mangas are like picture books ranging all ages and I wish I had a library full of them. More »
